Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a new septic tank installation cost in DFW?+

Conventional gravity systems run $5,000–$10,000 installed. Aerobic treatment units (ATUs) range $8,000–$18,000 because of the treatment unit, electrical, spray field, and required maintenance contract.

How long does septic installation take?+

From contract to a working system, plan on 2–5 weeks: 1–3 weeks for soil eval, design, and county permit, plus 2–5 days of on-site construction and inspection.

Do you handle the county permit?+

Yes. We perform the soil evaluation, draw the system design, submit the OSSF permit application to your county designated representative, and coordinate the final inspection.

Can I choose between conventional and aerobic?+

Sometimes. Your soil class, lot size, and county code usually decide. Soft-soil lots over an acre often qualify for cheaper conventional. Clay-soil lots almost always require aerobic.

Is DIY septic installation legal in Texas?+

No. Texas requires a licensed OSSF installer for new construction and for replacements that change system type.
